We are located In South Eastern Queensland, between Brisbane & Toowoomba.  The front of our farm runs along Rosewood-Laidley Rd which is a main road frequently used by many horse transporters, such as Darling Downs, Rudds, Sydney & Brisbane Livestock, etc. most of which have delivered and picked up here several times (interstate mares coming to stud and returning home).

Personal message from Leanne about buying horses:  Since buying horses is such a risky business, if you are not already familiar with our reputation, please ask around, visit forums (I'm on Cyberhorse as lea-owens and the Western Horse Forum as lea_owens and our daughter Kate is on a number of forums - she's the 'colour expert'), phone people, google us or whatever it takes to check that we are honest horse breeders with quality horses.  I'm fifty years old and have been involved with horses all my life, I'm a high school teacher with a Masters degree but only teach part time because I'm busy with horses, I volunteer my time to run shows such as Queensland All Breeds Youngstock Show and the Qld Dilute Championships, I'm the President of the South Qld Branch of Dilutes Australia Ltd, I'm on the Board of Directors of Dilutes Australia Ltd, I sponsor many shows and volunteer my time to steward at shows if I'm available, I compete at local, state and national level with our horses and I'm one of the owners of Gidwens Saddlery.  There are too many people getting hurt by buying a horse that isn't what the sellers said it was... so whether you're buying from us or from someone else - check the reputation first.

On this page (below), you will find an updated sales list.

Champagne, Palomino, Buckskin, Cremello, Perlino,  Silver & Dun  horses for sale from the Horses Of Gold Stud, as well as from the friends & clients of Horses Of Gold.

There are only about fifteen known Champagne horses in Australia, and we have five of them, so if you are interested in starting showing or breeding Champagnes, we're the perfect starting point.

Here on the home page you can see some of the horses we have for sale, they each have their own sale page if you want to read more about them.  Click on the 'stallions' page to see the stallions - Days of Gold, Nights of Gold, Tintaras Chandra, Ahrem Time Out and Driftwood Traveller.

If you want to buy anything for your horses, from rugs and saddles to a show outfit for yourself, remember to phone Gidwens Saddlery on 07 54665447 - we really know the horse industry and we do phone orders to all of Australia. Or drop in and see us: we're at the Big Orange Complex on the Warrego Highway between Plainland and Gatton (which is on the main highway on the Brisbane side of Gatton for those not familiar with the area)
